Title of work: New innovative plant for freezing and packaging.
Surgenuin S.r.l. was founded in the 1970s as a craft workshop specializing in snail processing. The experience gained and the good results allowed commercial expansion, dimensional growth and the consequent research and development of new products that contained the characteristic flavors of Venetian and Mediterranean cuisine. The project objective is to increase the level of productivity and at the same time develop new frozen food references to be exported to countries outside Europe to spread the Made in Italy gastronomic culture and the flavors of the Veneto region.
The intervention carried out saw the inclusion in the production cycle of a state-of-the-art refrigeration plant characterized by the use of carbon dioxide (CO2) as a refrigerant carrier fluid to power a part of the company's circuits hitherto based exclusively on a Freon gas-fueled system. The system provides a higher refrigeration yield and guarantees multiple positive effects oltra to beneficial effects on the environment since CO2 is a respectful refrigerant system, characterized by a GWP (Global Warming Potential) and an ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) substantially equal to zero. Finally, it is highlighted that the new plant is part of the development project under the Industry 4.0 plan.
